Documentary filmmaking
I produce documentaries for broadcasters, corporate companies, NGOs, private institutions and international organisations in Africa, the Middle East and Europe. I am experienced at setting up and filming in difficult and hostile environments. I have a strong track record of conceiving, directing and editing original programs, as well as finding and winning contributors trust and building strong human relationships. I am also skilled at creating and structuring strong narratives.
I have developed & directed a number of commissions including 4 feature length documentary films, ‘Our Bright Stars’ (52′); ‘Cinema in Sudan: conversations with Gadalla Gubara’ (52′); ‘Closer to Home, the restoration of Leighton House Museum’ (55′); ‘The Jews and the longest kiss in history’ (80′), and many short films and multimedia products.
